Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Material Handler for a warehouse in Houston, TX. This is a temp-to-hire overnight position paying $17–$18/hr, with approximately 20 hours of weekly overtime required. In this role, you will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, electric hoists, and a Combi lift to move materials between storage areas, work areas, and outbound shipments. This position offers consistent, long-term work with a steady Monday–Friday schedule.


Pay: $17–$18/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM–5:30 AM

Location: Houston, TX

Responsibilities

  • Stack, band, and bundle materials for storage or outbound shipment.
  • Secure lifting attachments to materials and signal hoist operators as needed.
  • Set up and position portable conveyor systems to assist with material movement.
  • Count, weigh, and record materials moved on daily production sheets and job tickets.
  • Attach identifying tags and labels to materials and mark containers with required information.


Minimum Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience operating a forklift and a Combi lift in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating electric hoists and portable conveyor systems.
  • Familiarity with strapping, bracing, and securing loads for transit.
  • Experience collecting and labeling material samples for quality control (QC) or lab delivery.
  • Ability to accurately complete production documentation such as labor cards and job tickets.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard warehouse safety procedures.
  • Experience operating a forklift and a Combi lift.
