7:00 AM-3:30 PM m-F

Overview
We are seeking a Traffic/Logistics Coordinator to support transportation and logistics operations within a biotechnology manufacturing environment. This role serves as the primary point of contact for transportation-related inquiries from internal teams, carriers, brokers, customs agencies, and other external partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the main contact for transportation, shipping, and logistics inquiries
Coordinate with carriers, brokers, 3PL partners, and government agencies
Support import/export compliance activities including classification, valuation, and country of origin determination
Assist with customs documentation and regulatory requirements (e.g., HTS, EAR, 49 CFR, 19 CFR)
Manage freight claims for loss, damage, or delays with carriers and insurance providers
Support HazMat shipping compliance and documentation requirements
Maintain and improve shipping and distribution processes and procedures
Assist with ERP-based logistics tracking and reporting (Oracle or similar systems)
Support shipping operations during peak periods and urgent business needs
Collaborate with internal teams to improve logistics efficiency and performance
Required Skills & Qualifications
3–5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain coordination
Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
Experience working with carriers, freight forwarders, or 3PL providers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to make independent decisions and manage competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with import/export compliance and Incoterms
Knowledge of HazMat, DOT, or IATA regulations
Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
Experience in ISO-certified or lean manufacturing environments
Background in freight negotiation, routing, or carrier management
Experience working in biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environments

This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth logistics operations within a biotech manufacturing organization, supporting both domestic and international shipping activities while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all transportation processes.
