Precision, High-Tech CNC Machinist
Metalex’s expansion of our precision, high-tech, turning and milling area of expertise is creating opportunities for exceptional machinists who want to continue to hone their skills by working on the latest state-of-the-art equipment machining challenging complex parts made of exotic, high-temp alloys. This provides an opportunity for motivated individuals to grow in both skill and knowledge and increase compensation. We are actively looking for outstanding people to join our team in filling roles for the night shift positions. We work in a driven, high-paced environment where teamwork and communication are key components of our company’s culture. We have availability for Night shift which includes a 10% Pay Differential!

  • Night Shift - 3:30 pm - 1:30 am Monday - Friday


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read and Interpret Drawings and Part Specifications
  • Ability to Comprehend and Follow Router that details what needs to be completed on each part
  • Capable of Performing Machine Set Ups
  • Proficient in handling Measuring Instruments and Test Equipment
  • Understand Quality Requirements and be able to perform “in-process” inspections of your own work in addition to working with the Quality Team to ensure delivery of high quality parts
  • Understanding of Basic Shop Floor Mathematics
  • Understanding of CNC Programming
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Agree to follow Metalex Operator’s Acceptance Program
  • Maintain 6S Standard Shop Checklist
  • Observe all Safety Requirements and be responsible for reporting any unsafe conditions
  • Strong Work Ethic/Willingness to work overtime
  • Willingness to assist in Cross Training of other Teammates by Teaching Skills they can learn from you
  • Willingness to be Cross Trained on complementary machines as needed to support production requirements and increase your marketability
  • Commitment to Continuous Improvement and taking initiative to lead in making enhancements

REQUIRMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements
  • Drug Test Required
  • 48 Hour work weeks
