Machine Operator

$22-25/hr with OT.

Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will operate both manual and automated saws to cut metal bars, tubes, plates, or structural materials according to work orders. Your role will involve performing in-process and final inspections using go/no-go gauges and tape measures, bundling materials, and placing them on pallets using a forklift. You may also be required to build pallets. Additionally, you will set up saws, adjust feeds and speeds, select appropriate blades for material types, and monitor cutting operations to ensure accuracy, surface finish, and dimensional compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and automated saws to cut metal materials.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using measuring tools.
• Bundle materials and place them on pallets using a forklift.
• Set up saws and adjust feeds and speeds for material types.
• Monitor cutting operations for accuracy and compliance.
• Record production data, inspection results, and material usage.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodstock, IL.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.25/hr.
