This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and empower members through both personal training and Water Aerobics instruction as they work toward achieving their health and wellness goals. Through personalized, results-driven training sessions and engaging Water Aerobics classes, you will play a meaningful role in supporting participants on their wellness journey while fostering a fun, inclusive, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will contribute to the energy, growth, and success of a dynamic and expanding wellness program.
In addition, you will foster genuine connections, deliver exceptional hospitality, and help cultivate a safe, positive, and motivating environment where every interaction is purposeful and impactful. As a Health & Wellness Trainer, you will champion healthy lifestyles and reflect our deep commitment to community well-being, encouraging members to feel confident, supported, and motivated every step of the way.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum Age: 18+ years old.
  • Education & Experience:
    • 2-to-4-year college degree in Physical Fitness, Kinesiology, or related field required.
      • May provide Nationally Recognized Personal Training Certification in place of degree requirement.
    • 2 years' experience in fitness industry preferred.
    • Experience teaching line dancing classes and leading participants of varying skill levels desired.
    • Related background in health and/or fitness.
  • Certifications:
    • First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).
    • Water Aerobics
