Discovery Co-op invites applications for the position of a Marketing Co-op Student to join our team on a temporary basis at our Administration Office location in North Battleford, SK reporting to the VP of Marketing. This position will be for a Co-op Term beginning in January 2027 for 8 months (depending on post-secondary program requirements).Who we are:

What you'll do:
This temporary co-op position offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to real marketing and communications projects within a locally owned co-operative. The Marketing Co-op Student will assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns, creating content, supporting community events, and helping maintain digital assets and web content. This role is designed to provide meaningful learning while supporting Discovery Co-op's goal of creating legendary member experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing & Campaign Support
- Assist with social media planning, scheduling, and content creation.
- Support execution of omni-channel marketing campaigns
- Research competitors, market trends, and promotional opportunities
- Maintain a digital library of marketing assets and visuals
- Support website updates and content accuracy
- Help create graphics and visuals using Canva
- Attend meetings and share ideas on current marketing projects
- Community Engagement and Events
- Supports the VP, Marketing in the development and execution of Community Relations strategies to strengthen the brand while actively seeking to improve the local community in which the organization operates.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of community events, Kids Club, and store activations
- Support donation, sponsorship, and internal engagement campaigns
- Participate in event day logistics and promotional material prep
- Sustainability
- Support the sustainability programming of Discovery Co-operative Ltd. by leveraging the unique diversity of our business and our commitment to the communities we serve.
- Contribute to internal communications and sustainability storytelling
- Help track community impact and assist with reporting
- To be familiar with and adhere to Discovery Co-op Policies and Procedures. To live the Co-op brand every day and perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Post Secondary Marketing, Business or Communications, Co-operative work experience program for the 2027 term.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Must be available for Monday - Friday 8 - 5 work days and willing to relocate to the Battlefords.
- Past experience in marketing, events, content creation, or customer-facing roles is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe tools, or social media platforms is beneficial.
- Detail-oriented with a creative flair.
- Valid Saskatchewan driver's license.
- Basic understanding of marketing principles.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
