Job Title: Assembler
Location: Pomona, CA
Employment: Temp to Direct
Industry: Manufacturing
Compensation: $18.50/hr.
Schedule: 40 hours/week - 2nd shift.
4:00pm-12:30am
The payrate after conversion as direct hire on 1st shift will be 19.98.
The payrate after conversion as direct hire on 2nd shift will be 19.98 + Shift differential ($0.40)
The position will be for 2nd shift and training may be on 1st or 2nd shift depending on business needs.

What You'll Do:
  • Assemble and modify switchboards, lighting panels, electrical systems, and subassemblies using hand and power tools, fasteners, soldering, and related equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, bills of materials, one-line diagrams, work orders, and assembly instructions to accurately complete assignments.
  • Inspect and test wiring, circuits, and completed assemblies; adjust, repair, or replace components to meet specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements.
  • Process and track work orders using computers and scanning devices, gather necessary components, identify parts, and report non-conforming materials or documentation.
  • Clean, label, pack, and prepare finished assemblies for shipment while maintaining equipment, tools, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.

What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 6+ months of experience in assembly.

  • Training in assembly.
  • Basic hand tools, power tools, reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills, and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.

Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
  • Must be able to reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs., and push/pull/slide heavy material
  • Must be able to make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb.
  • Job involves typically working indoors, being assigned to any of the different shifts, occasionally lifting heavy materials, wearing common safety equipment (e.g. cut-resistant gloves and sleeves, safety shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.) being exposed to loud noises and the possibility of bumps, cuts, scrapes, and strains.
  • Safety Advocacy: Ability to promote and ensure a safe work environment; identifies, communicates, and eliminates hazards encountered during regular course of work.
