Job description

The Lamination Assistant position involves setting up the rolls, ensuring quality control and production standards. Aids machine operator and focus on meeting high-quality output.

DESCRIPTION

  • Ensures compliance regarding Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Good Housekeeping practices for all activities.
  • Immediately report to supervisor any incident and unsafe condition
  • Provides solvent and checks the quality of the product and visual inspections for defects.
  • Load rolls onto the Lamination machine.
  • Monitors resin levels and other raw materials.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of materials.
  • Provides direct support to production operators, helping to resolve issues and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Responsible for plant sanitation and monitoring action plans to maintain sound GMPโ€™s and orderly housekeeping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

  • Must have general knowledge of packaging equipment principles.
  • Ability to visually check for defects in the product and sense temperature changes in the finished product.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant equipment policies and procedures.
  • Must be knowledgeable of GMPs and HACCP.
  • Lift heavy materials and rolls.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred experience in manufacturing, preferably in flexible plastic packaging.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
  • Ability of repetitive reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and carrying for extended period. Going up and down ladders/steps.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures and chemicals.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
  • Need to have own transportation to visit more than one facility during the day.
