About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in West Jordan, Utah, 84088!

Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) โ€“ Labor and Delivery / Postpartum / Mother-Baby

Location

West Jordan, UT

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Weekend and holiday availability required

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and triage patients across a combined L&D and Mother-Baby unit
  • Titrate oxytocin and insulin drips in accordance with unit protocols and AWHONN staffing and documentation standards
  • Perform fetal monitoring strip interpretation and document findings per AWHONN guidelines using the OBEX fetal monitoring system
  • Provide circulating support for C-section cases and deliver 1:1 post-op recovery care for a minimum of two hours following cesarean delivery
  • Manage postpartum couplet care at a ratio of up to 1:3 couplets and support triage patients as assigned
  • Float to MedSurg in a support capacity (aide, sitter, or helping-hands role) during low-census periods on a rotating basis
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN licensure valid in the state of Utah
  • Minimum of 1 year of L&D, Postpartum, or Mother-Baby specialty experience within the last 3 years
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
  • Proficiency with fetal monitoring strip interpretation and AWHONN documentation standards
  • Ability to titrate drips including oxytocin and insulin
  • Availability for weekend and holiday shifts; ability to be present in state for the full week of unit orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • At least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience in L&D or a related obstetric specialty
  • Experience with newborn transition skills
  • Prior charge nurse experience in an obstetric setting
