Job description

Qualifications: This opening is for one, day shift, R&D Laboratory Leader. $37/hour Potential to convert to permanent employee Responsibilities: Position Summary The R&D Laboratory Leader supports laboratory operations and research activities while providing basic coordination of daily tasks. This role combines hands-on lab work with limited leadership responsibilities, helping ensure experiments are completed efficiently, safely, and accurately. Key Responsibilities: Laboratory Execution • Perform routine laboratory experiments, tests, and analyses • Prepare samples, materials, and equipment • Record and report data accurately Team Coordination • Help organize daily lab tasks and priorities • Act as a point of contact for basic lab questions Project Support • Assist in executing assigned R&D projects • Track progress of tasks and communicate status to supervisor • Support meeting project timelines Equipment & Lab Maintenance • Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment • Identify and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs • Maintain organized lab spaces and ensure readiness for work • Monitor and replenish laboratory supplies and materials Safety & Compliance • Follow all lab safety procedures and SOPs • Promote safe work practices within the team • Maintain proper documentation Collaboration • Work closely with scientists, engineers, and technicians • Share updates and observations clearly Qualifications Education • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field Experience • 0-5 years of laboratory or R&D experience Skills & Competencies • Basic laboratory and technical skills • Strong attention to detail • Organization and time management • Communication and teamwork • Emerging leadership and coordination ability Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans
