Clinical Receptionist This is a temporary position to assist with managing work queues due to a backlog in a physician's office. The role involves working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Responsibilities Manage the referral work queue by reviewing referrals from PCPs or specialists, verifying insurance, contacting patients, and scheduling appointments. Handle prior authorization work queue for insurance approvals needed for imaging, procedures, and medications by submitting clinical documentation, following up with payers, and resolving denials. Oversee the scheduling work queue by managing appointment outreach, follow-up visits, wait-list management, and rescheduling canceled appointments. Address billing work queue by correcting claims, resolving insurance denials, and ensuring missing coding information is provided. Manage the patient balance work queue by reviewing lab or imaging results, following up on critical findings, and notifying patients as needed. Respond to patient message work queue by addressing portal messages, prescription refill requests, clinical questions, and administrative requests.
