About the Job
 

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities occasionally needs to hire employees on a temporary and/or casual basis throughout the year. These positions perform a variety of nonacademic and/or academic work responsibilities on a temporary or casual work schedule, as defined below:
Temporary: Limited to 67 or fewer days of work in a calendar year.
Casual: Limited to working 14 or fewer hours per week; are not limited to 67 days of work in a calendar year.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
(50%) Collaborate with the Department of Computer Science & Engineering faculty and/or staff to facilitate ongoing projects
(50%) Gather and analyze data
This does not constitute a posting for vacancies but establishes a pool of applicants should openings occur during FY26 (now - June 30, 2026). Applicants will be selected from this pool on an as-needed basis.  Appointments are based on need, funding, and performance.

This position is not eligible for H-1B visa sponsorship.

Required Qualifications:
Educational, certification, and work experience requirements are based on, and cannot exceed, the qualifications for work performed in comparable UMN job classifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Any preferred qualifications are determined by the supervisor.

Pay and Benefits
 

Pay Range: $15.25 - $30.00 /hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
