Job Purpose


We are seeking a Software Developer in Test Automation - API & Services Quality Engineering to lead and evolve quality practices across our API, microservices, and distributed services platforms. This is a hands on technical role for an experienced QE who enjoys building modern automation frameworks, understands service oriented and cloud native architectures, and is passionate about AI
The ideal candidate will drive an automation first, reliability focused quality strategy, embedding quality early in the SDLC and leveraging AI assisted testing to improve efficiency, coverage, and insight.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Design, evolve, and govern API and service test automation frameworks.
  • Remain handson with automation development, CI/CD integration, and servicelevel testing.
  • Drive an automationfirst QE strategy with strong focus on reliability, resiliency, and release confidence.
  • Define and implement best practices for contract testing, component/integration testing, and E2E test strategy.
  • Partner closely with engineering, platform, and architecture teams to embed quality early in design and delivery.
  • Collaborate within Agile delivery teams to streamline testing, deployment, and release processes.
  • Support contract and service level testing for internal and external integrations.
  • Support and drive AI adoption in QE, including intelligent test generation, maintenance, execution optimization, and defect analytics.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to track QA metrics such as: 
    • Test execution progress
    • Automation coverage
    • Defect trends
    • Risk indicators and release readiness
  • Design intuitive visualizations that highlight quality gaps, bottlenecks, and system risk areas.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or Software Engineering.
  • Strong hands on experience in API automation, preferably using: 
    • Java, RestAssured, TestNG / Cucumber
  • Deep understanding of microservices and distributed systems testing.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and modern SDLC practices.
  • Strong ability to influence quality outcomes at scale across teams and platforms.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
  • Exposure to contract testing and service integrations.
  • Experience applying AI assisted testing and quality analytics in a pragmatic, value driven way.
  • Built and scaled API automation frameworks (Java, RestAssured, TestNG/Cucumber, Gradle) integrated with CI/CD.
  • Strong microservices QE strategy experience, including: 
    • Contract testing
    • Component vs integration testing balance
    • Observability driven quality practices
  • Proven leadership of QE organizations (SDETs), including standards setting and coaching.
  • Demonstrated delivery of automation first quality and release gating models.
  • Practical and results driven adoption of AI in QE (test creation, maintenance, selection, defect insights).
  • Awareness of Web automation (Playwright) and Mobile automation (Appium with Python) for end to end quality oversight.
  • Experience with: 
    • Cloud & platform tooling (Azure/AWS)
    • CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
    • Contract testing tools (Pact, WireMock)
    • Performance testing tools (K6, Gatling, Locust)
  • Experience in regulated or enterprise environments and accessibility awareness.
