A key role in the IT operations team, responsible for delivering a modern, efficient, and stable IT workplace for internal customers. This position requires collaboration with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external service providers to ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a quick learner, and adept at adapting to rapidly changing conditions. Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, along with a broad IT knowledge base, are essential for success. This role requires availability for on-call work, including nights and holidays.
Responsibilities:
  • Issue and Case Resolution: Provide intermediate technical expertise to resolve escalated issues and cases from L1 support, focusing on identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions for fab manufacturing automation. Collaborate closely with Product DevOps teams to ensure seamless support for fab manufacturing operations.
  • System Incident Management: Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources to swiftly resolve system incidents, thereby minimizing impact on fab manufacturing.
  • Continuous IT System Improvement: Proactively identify product issues or weaknesses and collaborate with Product DevOps to enhance product availability and stability. This includes taking responsibility for training and supporting L1 members to achieve a higher resolution rate.
  • System Development and Maintenance: Develop and maintain IT systems crucial for sustaining user operations and supporting fab manufacturing and engineering analysis. Additionally, develop tools or scripts to improve issue resolution capabilities and facilitate faster recovery from incidents.
  • Fab System Liaison: Serve as the primary contact window between Fab Users and HQ DevOps, bridging requirements, performing necessary system changes, and facilitating system-related discussions.

Minimum Requirements:
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C#, or other relevant languages.
  • Strong understanding of SQL for effective data extraction and analysis from relational databases.
  • A strong problem-solving mindset that views challenges as opportunities for system improvement, with a keen focus on leveraging automation over manual processes.

People Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal skills with a proven ability to effectively communicate at all levels including Fab Users, Project Managers (PMs), and DevOps teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup culture - comfort with ambiguity and continuous problem solving.
  • Works cooperatively and positively with fellow team members and vendors.
  • Demonstrates initiative, critical thinking, and the ability to manage own time, coupled with the ability to shift tasks as priorities change.

Physical Requirements:
  • Primarily an office-based role requiring the ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer.
  • Ability to use a computer, keyboard mouse and other standard office equipment for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, reach, bend, and carry light objects.
  • May require occasional travel to company sites or other meetings that involve walking through office, industrial or construction environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education
  • A master's degree in computer science, Information Engineering, or a related field; alternatively, a bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of IT experience in software engineering or similar IT roles.

Shift expectations:
  • Candidates for this position are supposed to work on Normal Shift, 9am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. They may be on-call to support business needs at least once per two months, with the ability to handle urgent issues outside of scheduled normal shift hours when necessary.
