Job description

Location: This position is based on-site in Lebanon, KY. Remote work is not available.Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Japanese-English interpretation during meetings, conference calls, plant tours, and other business activities.
  • Translate documents, reports, presentations, and correspondence for multiple departments.
  • Prepare reports, gather information, and summarize data as needed.
  • Draft and maintain business correspondence in both Japanese and English.
  • Maintain confidential records and sensitive business information.
  • Support communication between Japanese Coordinators and team members to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Assist with special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Follow company environmental, safety, and operational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Fluency in both Japanese and English, with strong verbal and written translation skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous business or professional translation experience preferred.
Education & Experience
  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional translation, interpretation, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong document preparation and report-writing skills.
Physical & Work Environment
  • Primarily office-based environment.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and communication with team members.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
