What does a temporary investment performance analyst do?

A Temporary Investment Performance Analyst is responsible for evaluating and reporting on the performance of investment portfolios over a specified contract period. Their tasks typically include collecting and analyzing financial data, preparing performance reports, and assisting in the interpretation of portfolio results for clients or management. Today we are one of the country’s largest owners and operators of manufactured housing communities and recreational vehicle resorts. We create vibrant, affordable communities for working families and retirees and attractive vacation destinations for seasonal travelers. With financial sponsorship from one of the world’s largest alternative investment managers, we bring institutional discipline to our entrepreneurial roots and are positioned for continued significant growth.

Why Choose Inspire Communities?

At Inspire Communities, we empower our employees to grow, succeed, and make a difference—both in our communities and in their careers. If you’re looking for a rewarding role where your work is valued, apply today!

Job Summary:

The Finance Analyst supports sales and operational reporting with a primary focus on KPI tracking, performance analytics, and data-driven insights. This role partners closely with Sales, Operations, and Strategic Finance leadership to develop structured reporting, analyze trends, and support informed business decision-making. While the role includes financial modeling and forecasting support, the core responsibility centers on building, maintaining, and enhancing reporting related to sales activity, funnel performance, and operational drivers. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Capital Markets & Strategic Finance and is based in the Phoenix office.

  • Develop and maintain sales KPI dashboards tracking key performance metrics including leads, applications, conversions, occupancy, and other operational sales drivers.
  • Aggregate, structure, and analyze large datasets to support recurring reporting, performance tracking, and ad-hoc analytical requests.
  • Prepare clear and concise weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting packages for internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to evaluate funnel performance, identify bottlenecks, and analyze sales and conversion trends.
  • Support strategic finance and analytical activities including financial modeling, forecast inputs, variance analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Monitor and validate data accuracy and consistency across reporting sources.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and BI/Data teams to enhance reporting processes, data visibility, and performance tracking.
  • Develop insights and recommendations that support business strategy, operational accountability, and performance improvement.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate, clean, and analyze large datasets.
  • Experience developing KPI dashboards and performance reporting for sales or operational teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility but may support cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with multiple business units.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field required.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in financial analysis, strategic finance, data analytics, sales reporting, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience building KPI dashboards, performance reporting, and analytical models required. Experience in real estate, multifamily housing, manufactured housing, or property-related industries.
  • Familiarity with sales funnel metrics, lead progression, and sales-cycle performance analysis.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of CRM or sales pipeline systems and how data translates into reporting and analytics.
  • Full-time, on-site role based in the Phoenix office. Work is performed in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with regular interaction across departments and exposure to senior leadership.
What We Offer

At Inspire Communities, we value our employees just as much as we value our residents. We offer the following benefits to our full-time (30+ hours per week) employees:
