Job description

We are currently hiring for a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator I position in Carson City, NV (89706). Please review the details below:

Location: Carson City, NV
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract (Temp-to-Hire)
Physical Requirement: May lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

Position Summary

This role is responsible for delivering and setting up inventory at designated customer sites. The coordinator will handle physical and administrative inventory tasks, including stocking vending machines and Point of Use (POU) areas, receiving shipments, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

This position requires extensive walking within a large facility and the use of a hand cart to transport materials. Steel-toe shoes are required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and stock materials in 5 vending machines and 8 POU areas

  • Receive shipments, verify accuracy, and store materials in correct locations

  • Track vending machine refills and inventory levels using a computer system

  • Maintain accurate barcode labeling and scan products to generate orders

  • Monitor min/max inventory levels and recommend adjustments

  • Assist with annual inventory/cycle counts

  • Maintain clean and organized VMI/POU areas (5S standards)

  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to client inquiries

  • Follow shipments from warehouse pickup through customer site setup

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse, inventory, delivery, or related experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)
