Job Description
Human Resources announces an opening for 25/26 Hourly Technology Services Techs to join the Information Services Team.
Arlington Public Schools (APS) is seeking motivated individuals with an interest in technology to join our Information Services team
as a Technology Services Intern. This temporary, hourly position is ideal for recent high school graduates, current college students,
or recent college graduates pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Interns will gain
hands-on experience with a wide range of IT support tasks in a dynamic K-12 environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive and verify incoming technology shipments
Unpack and prepare equipment for inventory
Recycle cardboard and manage packaging waste
Tag and inventory equipment using spreadsheets and asset tracking systems
Erase and reinstall operating systems on iOS devices
Install APS software image on laptops and tablets
Assist staff with the setup and deployment of new technology
Wipe, verify, and prepare redline devices for return to vendors
Process returned equipment from field technicians
Verify device status and ensure proper erasure
Fulfill warehouse technology requests:
Prepare devices
Track inventory through asset tagging and spreadsheets
Perform additional tasks as skills and knowledge grow
EXPERIENCE:
General experience with technology and working with computers
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma required
College student or recent graduate preferred (Technology or Information Systems fields preferred).
Pay Rate: $17.52 per hour. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
