Summary/Objective

Responsible for overseeing the Inventory Team and ensures the integrity of company Perpetual Inventory Program.  Production support to ensure on time customer delivery of a quality product.  Plans and conducts Physical Inventory with Inventory Control Leader.  Ensures 5S, Lean, and all safety policies by following established operating procedures.  Responsible for continuous improvement concerning processes and team members and developing future leaders and succession plan.  Responsible for leading the team; promoting and ensuring compliance to company’s Core Values, Mission Statement and Leader qualities. Adhering to LCI’s company policies and safety regulations. 

Essential Functions

  1. Ensures inventory team members comply with company safety protocol.
  2. Monitors WIP, Error Log, Exception, and runs weekly inventory reports.
  3. Participates in evaluations and ensures that policies and adhered to fairly.
  4. Assists with conflict resolution when needed.
  5. Provides data to the Inventory Control Leader for Division Metrics.
  6. Ensures audits and complete for the part boxes.
  7. Assigns team members to-do box and location audits.
  8. Verifies discrepancies in inventory on hand balances and reconciles variance to find root cause of discrepancy.
  9. Promotes Lean initiatives, develops and executes improvements in processes and team members.
  10. Ensures the integrity of company perpetual inventory system and programs.  
  11. Participates in Physical Inventory with Inventory Control Leader as required. 
  12. Conducts month end Inventory counts required by Accounting. 
  13. Plans and executes daily Cycle Counts and maintains ABC code assignment for material.  
  14. Assists Yard Leader to identify parts returned from production and determines Inventory adjustment method. 
  15. Continuous education for self to develop leadership skills and best practices to grow Inventory team, participates in plant meetings as required and leadership coaching sessions.

Physical Demands

While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active – while performing this job the employee is regularly standing walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations considered for individuals with disabilities to enable them to perform the essential functions.  While performing the duties of this Job, the employee works around moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and conveyer roller lines. The employee will work in outside weather conditions in all seasons. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

In addition, the employee may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties.

This position requires Personal Protective Equipment such as work gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, cut resistant sleeves, and seasonal gear which will be provided.

Additional items required but not included are steel toed shoes or boots with metatarsal guards.

Pay Information

Hourly Payrate: $22.00 - $23.00

Freedman by Lippert determines pay based on several factors, including but not limited to the position being offered, education, skills, work experience, and other factors permitted by law. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are based upon the need to support operations and production. Some Saturdays will be mandatory.

Travel

Travel will be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Valid driver’s license desired with clean driving record.
  3. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by embracing and displaying LCI’s Core Values and working with your team and other departments to identify and celebrate wins.
  4. Microsoft Office
  5. Excel proficiency
  6. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  7. 1-3 years of leadership experience.
  8. 1-3 years of Inventory Control Experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. At least 1 year of warehouse experience desired.
  2. At least 1 year of system analyzing experience desired.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance 

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
