Sr. Digital Marketing Specialist
Job Summary
Under general direction of the Digital Experience Manager, the Sr.Digital Marketing Specialistsupports the execution and coordination of digital initiatives across Interstate Batteries' digital properties. This role focuses on project coordination, digital strategy support, and local listings management, ensuring digital updates are delivered on time, accurately, and in alignment with the digital roadmap, brand and compliance standards.
The position partners closely with Marketing, IT, agencies, and internal stakeholders to support InterstateBatteries.com, related microsites, and local digital presence across search and directory platforms.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assists the Digital Experience Manager to drive website strategy and execution across the enterprise

  • Supports SEO strategy execution through strong project coordination, problem-solving, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and agency partners.

  • Familiarity with executing website updates and enhancements using a Content Management System (CMS); Sitecore experience or similar enterprise CMS platforms preferred.

  • Coordinates enterprise and franchisee digital projects by coordinating timelines, tasks, and deliverables across cross-functional teams and agency partners.

  • Maintains project plans, documentation, and status updates to ensure visibility and on-time delivery.

  • Assists with agile workflows by managing tickets, updating backlogs, and participating in sprint ceremonies.

  • Track project progress, risks, and dependencies, escalating issues as appropriate.

  • Manages and maintains local business listings across search engines, maps, and online directories (e.g., Google Business Profiles and other listing platforms).

  • Ensures location data accuracy including name, address, phone number, hours, categories, and descriptions.

  • Coordinates updates for new locations, closures, relocations, and temporary changes.

  • Monitors listing performance and customer reviews, escalating issues and insights to appropriate teams.

  • Partners with agencies/vendors to support listing accuracy, reporting, compliance, and reporting.

  • Provides alignment across the enterprise that ladders up to Digital KPIs by assisting with reporting and performance tracking.

  • Assists with website and local listings reporting by pulling analytics, maintaining dashboards, and tracking performance against defined KPIs.

  • Supports test-and-learn initiatives, including A/B testing and optimization efforts, to improve user experience and conversion.

  • Collaborates closely with Marketing, IT, franchise/location teams, and external agencies to support digital initiatives.

  • Coordinates translation updates with external vendor(s) for Spanish and French digital content.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, marketing coordination, project coordination, or a related field.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

  • Hands on digital marketing execution and support experience.

  • Experience coordinating projects or managing timelines, PMP certification a plus.

  • Experience updating local business listings (e.g., Google Business Profile) preferred.

  • Basic understanding of SEO, local search, and digital marketing concepts.

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar reporting tools.

  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills with the ability to provide real-time recommendations confidently.

  • Both self-motivated and ability to partner and collaborate across teams, functions, business units, and agencies.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft tool suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.).

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate across teams.
