Job description

Summary or Purpose Perform a variety of manual facility maintenance, minor repair and simple project tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification. Shown are duties intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities.

Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties. Perform maintenance, repair, sanitation and janitorial duties which may include the following: cleaning work area and departmental equipment; moving equipment/supplies; cleaning and washing equipment; repairing departmental equipment; shuttling parts; equipment and documentation as directed; maintaining equipment; preparing and updating records and documents as required; and operating departmental equipment as authorized and directed. May be required to work a non-traditional work schedule to include evenings, holidays and weekends and may be subject to 24 hour on-call status.

[PUBLIC WORKS, SHOP III]; Health Department: Applicant must pass a criminal history background check conducted by the State of Alaska Background Check Unit and documentation that the individual is free from active pulmonary tuberculosis.
