Job description

Instrumentation and Controls Technician II

Keystone Engineering Group, Inc. is a Professional Engineering Firm and Systems Integrator with 25+ years of experience in Design and Design-Build services for Water, Wastewater, and private industries. We have five offices located in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Northeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Lewes Delaware, and Seaford Delaware.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in water/wastewater I & C systems, with at least 2-4 years in a technician role
  • High school diploma required, a 2-year degree or certification in Instrumentation & Controls or a related field is a plus
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Proficiency in electrical wiring of power and control equipment
  • Ability to understand electrical schematics and make field revisions and records for power distribution and control circuits
  • Skilled in electrical and mechanical equipment installation, and the use of electrical and electronic test equipment
  • Knowledge of radio and cellular communication systems
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently and with deadlines on an ongoing basis
  • Flexibility in adapting to changing and challenging situations
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation and calibration of sensors, flow meters, level transmitters, control panels, power distribution equipment, and other instrumentation
  • Perform troubleshooting of I&C equipment, including wiring, electrical circuits, and sensors
  • Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and service activities
  • Interpreting, troubleshooting and documenting control panel schematics
  • Field PLC control panel wiring
  • Perform variable frequency drive installation and startup
  • Troubleshooting digital and analog I/O circuits
  • Understanding and wiring of motor control circuits
  • Testing of power systems, control systems and instrumentation

Schedule will include travel to client sites by use of a personal or company vehicle, and availability for occasional after hours client support as well as overnight travel.
