Project Overview:
We are building high performing teams to deliver complex EPC heavy civil project and looking for motivated, hands-on, collaborative innovators, doers, and problem solvers. The projects are hydro power generation with scopes including roadway development, significant structures including dams, spillways, tunnel waterways, inlet/outlet structures, hydromechanical equipment, mechanical and electrical systems, and site facilities and buildings. Job Summary:
In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning, methods and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. #LI-RM1
Major Responsibilities:
Planning
  • Reviews project design, engineering documents, model, model data, specifications and engineering bill of materials to ensure their completeness.
  • Plans construction execution, including installation sequence, testing hold and witness points, equipment and temporary works or support measures requirements in coordination with the Superintendent.
  • Lead the scoping, design, approval, and where required certification of temporary works designs.
  • Prepares installation work packages for assigned scopes.
  • Develops and approve temporary construction facilities with the support of engineering and ensures preparation of "as built" drawings and other job plans.
  • Prepares field change documents and requests for information.
  • Verifies change notices and amendments.
  • Review and analyze project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule.

Material Management
  • Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
  • Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
  • Inspects material upon receipt at site and material issued for preservation and maintenance.
  • Issues material to craft professionals.
  • Reviews subcontractor submittals and requests for information and coordinates responses.
  • Coordinates contractor material deliveries.

Quantities
  • Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems.
  • Validates installation of materials through inspection / documentation (ITPs)
  • Tracks progress of assigned subcontracts and provides input to project schedules and cost reports.

Other Major Responsibilities:
Safety & Quality
  • Ensures the scope area implementation complies with the project safety, quality, and environmental programs.
  • Ensures work methods are planned and executed safely.
  • Prepares and performs inspections, tests plans and test procedures, and prepares inspection reports for assigned discipline/scope.
  • Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other technical documents.

System Turnover
Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package
development.
  • Builds system and area turnover packages both digitally and physically for turnover to startup and client.
  • Leads system and area walkdowns and coordinates with construction, startup, and the client as applicable.
  • Manages punch list items and maintains punch list tracking system.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (required) or Master's degree (preferred) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience, including experience on large industrial project.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of complex industrial sytems including design, construction and as-built phases.
  • Experience of interfacing with OEM vendor equipment support.
  • Experience of HVAC, fire life safety, building services, security, access control, HV power systems (200kV+), etc.
  • Experience of testing and commissioning methods for industrial facilities and building management systems.
  • Working knowledge of safety management systems and regulatory compliance.
