What you'll do:

  • Provides inhalation therapy designed to stabilize, prevent or remedy patient respiratory problems according to establishedprocedures. Arranges and operates a variety of oxygen and other therapeutic gas and mist inhalation equipment toadminister prescribed doses of medicinal gases and aerosolized drugs to patients. Checks equipment regularly for properfunctioning and records data obtained during therapy in patient charts.

What you'll need:

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in or graduate of an AMA accredited program.

Licensure:

  • Current student or temporary permit from the State of Indiana. CPR certification.

Other Job Requirements:

  • Work requires the analytical ability to resolve complex problems requiring the use of basic scientific, mathematical, ortechnical principles and in-depth, experienced-based knowledge.
  • Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. This may include explaining clinical, technicaland diagnostic procedures to patients and their families, comforting patients and their families, enforcing policies andregulations in difficult situations, or performing other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skill.
  • Assigned hours within your shift, starting time, or days of work are subject to change based on departmental and/ororganizational needs.
