Job description

Winpak is seeking a Senior ERP Solution Architect to support a major Infor M3 implementation already underway. This role will serve as a senior ERP design authority across manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, planning, procurement, quality, costing, order management, and finance integration.
The successful candidate will bring deep ERP implementation experience in manufacturing environments and be able to translate complex operational requirements into practical, scalable, and supportable Infor M3 solution designs.
Key Responsibilities
1. ERP Solution Architecture & Design
  • Lead ERP solution design for manufacturing, planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, quality, costing, order management, and finance-related processes.
  • Serve as a senior functional and solution design authority for the Infor M3 implementation.
  • Translate business requirements into ERP solution designs, process flows, configuration decisions, integration requirements, and implementation deliverables.
  • Ensure ERP designs balance standard system capability, business requirements, operational effectiveness, implementation complexity, and long-term maintainability.
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional design issues involving manufacturing, supply chain, finance, quality, inventory, procurement, customer service, and reporting.
  • Support the definition and governance of the enterprise ERP template, including standardization, site-specific requirements, and sustainable process design.
  • Challenge unnecessary customization and promote standard ERP functionality wherever practical.
  • Define and validate master data requirements for items, facilities, warehouses, bills of material, routings, work centers, costing, suppliers, customers, and production-related data.

2. Integration, Data & Implementation
  • Work with implementation partners to validate proposed designs, identify risks, and ensure solution decisions are aligned across functional areas.
  • Work with the MES Solution Architect and technical teams to define ERP/MES process boundaries, integration requirements, transaction timing, data ownership, error handling, and reconciliation requirements.
  • Support data migration planning, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and business ownership.
  • Facilitate ERP design workshops with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, inventory, warehouse, quality, finance, customer service, IT, and implementation partner stakeholders.
  • Review functional specifications, integration requirements, data migration approaches, test scenarios, and cutover plans.
  • Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, mock cutovers, go-live readiness, post-go-live stabilization, and hypercare.

3. ERP Program Leadership & Business Partnership
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the ERP program team and business stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Mentor business analysts, subject matter experts, and other team members to strengthen ERP knowledge, improve solution design capability, and build overall team effectiveness.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of ERP experience, including significant experience in manufacturing environments.
  • 5+ years in ERP solution architecture, lead functional consulting, enterprise applications leadership, or comparable senior roles.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, inventory, warehousing, quality, costing, order management, and finance integration processes.
  • Proven experience on full-cycle ERP implementation programs, including design, build, test, deployment, and stabilization.
  • Hands-on experience designing ERP solutions for complex manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working with plant operations, production teams, planners, buyers, warehouse teams, finance users, quality teams, IT teams, and system integrators.
  • Ability to lead ERP design discussions, resolve cross-functional issues, and make practical solution recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of ERP master data, transactional controls, integration points, reporting dependencies, and reconciliation requirements.
  • Experience working in environments where ERP integrates with plant-floor, warehouse, quality, MES, or other operational systems.
  • Excellent documentation, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, multi-site manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with Infor M3 in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Experience with process manufacturing, packaging, plastics, flexible packaging, rigid packaging, extrusion, converting, printing, laminating, or related industries.
  • Experience with multi-site or enterprise ERP template design and rollout.
  • Experience integrating ERP with MES, WMS, plant-floor systems, quality systems, EDI platforms, advanced planning tools, or reporting platforms.
  • Familiarity with Infor technologies such as M3 CloudSuite, Infor OS, ION, APIs, workflows, document management, or related integration capabilities.
  • Understanding of MES concepts and shop-floor execution processes; familiarity with Körber MES or similar platforms is an asset.
  • Experience with manufacturing costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and financial integration.

Key Competencies
  • Strong ERP architecture judgment and manufacturing process knowledge.
  • Ability to understand downstream impacts across planning, procurement, production, inventory, warehouse, quality, finance, and reporting.
  • Practical understanding of how ERP interacts with MES, warehouse, reporting, and other enterprise systems.
  • Ability to simplify complex issues, frame trade-offs, challenge unnecessary customization, and help drive timely design decisions.
  • Strong implementation discipline, including documentation, testing, data quality, cutover planning, controls, reconciliation, and change management.
  • Comfortable working with executives, program teams, implementation partners, plant leaders, business users, and IT teams.
  • Acts as a trusted ERP advisor and solution leader throughout the implementation lifecycle.
