The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following vacancy. Position: Temporary Human Resources Assistant Location: Chelmsford Public Schools Central Office This is a temporary position to provide coverage for a leave of absence commencing in July. This opportunity is expected to last approximately 6-12 weeks and would be a great fit for someone looking to contribute their skills in a busy and supportive school district environment. The position will assist with a variety of HR and clerical functions, including: • Data entry in Aspen/X2, Excel, TeachPoint, and SchoolSpring • Running reports in Munis • Assisting walk-ins with general inquiries • Supporting new hire and onboarding processes • Maintaining records and documentation • Providing general administrative and clerical support as needed Position Type: Temporary - 33 hours per week through August 14, 2026; 37.5 hours/week as of August 17, 2026 Job Category: Support Staff>Clerical Job Requirements Qualifications: • Knowledge of school district structure, operations, and resources • Experience with Aspen/X2, MUNIS, SchoolSpring, and TeachPoint • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, electronic calendars, google drive and databases • Familiarity with HR functions such as attendance management, leaves of absence (FMLA), and benefits/COBRA administration • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines • Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills
