Job description

The Office of Business, Hospitality and Auxiliary Services is seeking a Temporary Truck Driver for our Logistics team. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: pick up and delivery of mail, packages, goods on the Oakland campus as well as Branch Campuses and other off-campus areas owned/or operated by the University of Pittsburgh. The position requires driving on and off-campus. Incumbent must be familiar with the greater Pittsburgh area and surroundings. Ability to prioritize work. Requires extensive walking, sitting, driving up to six hours a day, and lifting at least 70 lbs. Courtesy and professionalism at all times is a must. Special projects as assigned. The selected candidate is required to pass a mandatory DOT drug and alcohol screening and to have a satisfactory report from the DMV.

High School Diploma or GED. Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License. Two years of truck driving experience with a truck of at least 18 ft. in length." Class B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brakes and Hazmat endorsement ("H") is preferred but not required.
