On a given day, an HVAC Installer will:

  • Install fittings and ductwork used in construction for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems
  • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
  • Clean work; restock supplies and materials as necessary for the following day.
  • Assemble and install HVAC systems which include sheet metal ductwork, air handling units, generators, humidifiers, boilers, heating and cooling systems.
  • Work may involve any of the following: reading blue prints and coordination of the installation of the HVAC systems with the builder or owner. Setting outdoor units, running line sets, condensing units, measuring and ordering custom ductwork
  • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment, seal seams, joints, or smooth burred surfaces, using files or grinders.
  • Must have basic hand & HVAC tools
  • Attend continued professional HVAC training
  • Utilize workplace safety procedures, skills, etc.

Job requirements:

  • Maintain Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Continual development including earning NATE Certifications.

Experience:

  • HS Diploma & trade school certificate in HVAC/R
  • EPA Certification
  • OSHA 10
  • Desired skills and certifications: NATE certifications, Gastite, OSHA, RSES, ACCA
  • Safety Training

Qualifications

  • 5 years HVAC installation experience
  • Valid driver’s license and clean MVR
  • Drug Screen and Background Check required
