Job description


The Paralegal will provide support for a wide array of legal matters and direct support to attorneys responsible for various corporate and/or service line functions. This is a full-time temporary position, working 40 hours per week, with an anticipated duration of approximately 12 to 16 weeks.

Responsibilities
These are your responsibilities :
  • Provides legal support for the area of support.
  • Reviews and prepares various legal documents and correspondence, manages document templates and ensures proper version control.
  • Conducts legal, factual and records-based research for the area of support.
  • Contributes to process development and improvement, assisting with workflows and internal strategy.
  • Organizes and tracks legal matters and requests for the area of support.
  • Monitors changes in laws, guidelines and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience
  • Associate's degree in paralegal studies required
  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or with legal support required
  • Previous paralegal experience preferred

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Legal Research Tools (e.g., Westlaw)
  • Legal Billing Software (e.g., Legal Tracker)

Licenses/Certifications
Certified Paralegal (CP) from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved program.
