Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Normal, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ED nursing experience and an IL RN license.

Details
  • Position is based in an Emergency Department within a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule working 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
  • Weekend and holiday coverage is flexible/rotating
  • No floating requirements for this position
  • Epic EMR experience is required
Requirements
  • Active IL RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all American Heart Association), plus one of the following: TNCC, TNS, or TCRN
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant RN experience
  • Associate's degree in nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

  • Performs comprehensive patient assessments, develops and continuously evaluates individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
  • Responsible for accurate and up-to-date documentation of all nursing care provided
  • Promotes patient and staff safety through appropriate nursing interventions and adherence to safety standards
  • Collaborates effectively with staff, patients, visitors, and families to foster a positive care environment
  • Candidates who have been on assignment with this health system for 1 continuous year must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within this health system
  • RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
