Job description

Machine Operator – Medical Device Manufacturing
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Pay Range: $23–25/hr.
Full-Time, Onsite
First Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday–Friday
Step into a vital role at the forefront of medical innovation as a Machine Operator with a top-tier medical device manufacturer. In this position, you’ll operate advanced CNC milling equipment to produce precision components that directly impact patient care and safety. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment and are passionate about precision, reliability, and continuous improvement. If you’re ready to make a difference in the healthcare industry, call 888-303-5627 to discuss this opportunity.
What You’ll Do
  • Operate and monitor CNC Mills (not CNC Lathes) to manufacture high-quality medical device components according to detailed specifications.
  • Set up CNC Mills, load programs and tooling, and perform routine offsets and adjustments to maintain optimal machine performance.
  • Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, pin gages, and other precision measurement tools to ensure products meet stringent quality standards.
  • Accurately follow production schedules, work instructions, drawings, and safety protocols in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues, identify potential quality concerns, and promptly communicate any issues to supervisors or leads.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, and actively contribute to a collaborative, team-focused environment.
What You’ll Bring
  • 1–2 years of in-shop machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment is a must (school training alone is not sufficient).
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience operating CNC Mills specifically (experience limited to CNC Lathes is not a fit for this role).
  • Proven experience using hand inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, pin gages, and related measuring instruments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn new equipment and processes quickly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing precise, high-quality components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and safety instructions in English.
  • Solid math skills and the ability to perform accurate measurements and basic shop calculations.
  • Effective communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Why This Role Is Exciting
  • Play a crucial part in creating products that improve and save lives in the medical device field.
  • Work with state-of-the-art CNC milling equipment in a clean, safety-focused facility.
  • Join a supportive team with opportunities for skill development, on-the-job training, and long-term career growth.
