Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt

The Fish Facility for the Cell and Developmental Biology department is actively seeking a temporary lab technician to assist with the daily operations of the facility. Some of these responsibilities include:

  • Feeding baby fish, juveniles, and adult fish daily up to 3 times per day.
  • Maintaining paramecia cultures for feeding baby fish
  • Recording and tracking water temperatures, conductivity, pH, and nitrites/nitrates daily.
  • Adjusting water drip rates and water outlet sieves as fish progress in development.
  • Maintain biological and particle filtration systems.
  • Siphon, organize, and clean tanks as needed.
  • Maintain supplies and media containers.
  • Other tasks assigned by PI and Fish Facility manager
