Key Responsibilities

  • Create a balanced approach of structured academic learning and purposeful, play-based exploration.
Data-Driven Growth

Instruction and Curriculum
  • Plan and deliver standards-aligned Kindergarten instruction in assigned subject areas (primarily ELA, Math, and Social-Emotional Learning) with your co-teacher.
  • Develop lesson plans and hands-on instructional materials that support student engagement, rigor, multi-sensory learning, and differentiated instruction.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor early literacy and numeracy progress, adjusting instruction accordingly.
  • Establish clear, child-friendly learning objectives for students and regularly evaluate progress toward those goals.
  • Participate in collaborative planning with Kindergarten and early childhood content-area teams.
Classroom Environment and Student Engagement
  • Create and maintain a safe, respectful, warm, and inclusive classroom environment.
