Responsibilities

  • Perform intraoperative and post-anesthesia care for OR patients as RN.

  • Monitor patient vitals, anesthesia recovery, and pain management during recovery.

  • Ensure sterile technique and maintain operatory asepsis throughout procedures.

  • Identify and escalate patient safety risks; implement corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with surgeons and staff to optimize throughput and turnover times.

  • Document perioperative nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.

  • Utilize data and metrics to track performance against targets and improve outcomes.

  • Assist in preoperative assessments and readiness checks for scheduled cases.

  • Demonstrate commitment to professional development and pursue growth opportunities.

  • Maintain on-site presence, adhere to scheduling, and manage own time effectively.

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in process standardization.

  • Educate patients and families on perioperative processes and recovery expectations.


Experience/Qualifications

  • RN with current license and perioperative nursing certification.

  • Experience in intraoperative and post-anesthesia care within OR settings.

  • Strong patient monitoring skills and pain management during recovery.

  • Ability to escalate safety risks and implement corrective actions promptly.

  • Proficiency in sterile technique, asepsis, and infection control.

  • Experience with perioperative documentation and accurate charting.

  • Collaborative mindset with surgeons and staff to optimize throughput.

  • Data-driven mindset; track performance metrics and outcomes.

  • Preoperative assessment and readiness check capabilities.

  • Commitment to professional development and ongoing growth.
