Join Our Team as an Unarmed Protective Service Officer (PSO)-Temporary with Full Time, Permanent Potential (Ocean City, MD)



Location: Regional Grocery Store, Berlin, MD
Schedule: All Shifts
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
Duration: Approximately 12-16 weeks with potential for permanent position

Are you a vigilant and reliable individual looking for a temporary security opportunity? We are seeking dedicated Unarmed Protective Service Officers (PSOs) for a new retail buildout construction detail in Berlin, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking steady work for several months with the potential for additional hours.


What You'll Be Doing

As an Unarmed Protective Service Officer, your role will be essential in maintaining safety and peace of mind for our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of the premises 
  • Conduct hourly check-ins.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor access points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the construction zone.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.


What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Prior security experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals.
  • Valid Maryland Guard Card is required.
  • Valid government-issued identification.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts 
  • Strong observational and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • A professional demeanor and commitment to upholding safety standards.
  • The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.


Ideal Candidates Include:

  • Residents in reasonable proximity to Worcester, Wicomico, Somerset, and Sussex Counties.
