Job description

Full-Time Security Supervisor - $26.02/hr Kelso, WA

HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Sunstates Security is hiring Full-Time Security Supervisor position in the Kelso, WA. This position offers a pay rate of 26.02 - paid weekly.

Anticipated start date: 07/02/2026

**Applicants based out of Oregon are welcome to apply!**:

Oregon applicants will be considered based on the following:

  • Applicant is located within a two-hour range of the Kelso site
  • Applicant holds a valid Oregon DPSST Security license
  • If hired: Applicants will apply for and pay out of pocket to obtain a Washington state security guard card within 90 days of employment at the Kelso site. (Our hiring managers will assist you with this)

Requirements:

  • Valid WA state security license
  • Valid Oregon security license (temporary substitute for WA license)
  • Minimum two years security officer experience.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred
  • Experience with two-way radio communications.
  • Able to regularly position at a standing post and perform foot patrols for extended periods of time and distance.
  • Successfully complete Sunstates background check which includes a 10 Panel Drug Screen and the clients more extensive background check.
  • Can clearly and concisely understand and communicate information and ideas in written form.
  • Exceptional report writing skills and the ability to observe and report incidents accurately.
  • Experienced with Microsoft office applications experience.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Suite applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by upholding our standards in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Natural composure and an infectious attitude towards arising issues with the ability to adapt quickly and develop practical solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare all required written reports in an ongoing and timely manner, including but not limited to: Daily Activity Reports (DAR’s) and Incident Reports.
  • Operating phones, radios, and computer systems and applications such as MAC IOS, Microsoft Office 365, and Google Suites.
  • Monitoring Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and alarm panels for emergencies and potential issues.
  • Following site specific post orders, pass down messages, and being in compliance with employee handbook guidelines at all times.
  • Conduct interior and exterior patrols within an office, and industrial complex.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
