Role Description: As the Head of Metro Tech Ops, Colorado, you will work on enterprise initiatives, closely collaborating with cross-functional team members to refine and evolve our projects and deploy new technologies to markets and communities around the US. In your role, you’ll manage a team of engineers, construction program managers, and an installation and repair team to ensure that our network is built to our specifications and our vendors are staffed properly to secure customer demand generated from launching new neighborhoods. Your team will cover several areas of our deployment from managing our general contractors to deployment of drops and lastly to builds of extensions and greenfields all while maintaining and improving our network operations. As a people manager, you’ll guide your team from the field as well as the contact center, using every opportunity to help grow and develop your team. In this role, you’ll: Lead all Deployment and Operational team members within a metropolitan area in the deployment and operation of GFiber's Fiber to the Home (FTTH) and point to point wireless builds. Ensure alignment between various parts of the customer network deployment from design to service delivery. Ensure the best local network is designed, built, and maintained with speed and within business goals. Partner with city management to ensure business targets are met through coordination with city officials, jurisdictional authorities and utility representatives. Manage proposals/budgets, bids, scope definition, engineering design cycles and design review, approvals, and vendor selection for a FTTH and point to point wireless network. Develop and grow a talented Deployment team. At a minimum we'd like you to have: BA/BS degree in Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience with fiber network deployments, outside and inside plant fiber infrastructure. 10 years of experience leading teams and vendor management. 8 years of experience with budgeting, forecasting costs, project reporting, capacity planning, quality assurance, equipment turn-up, testing and acceptance. It's preferred if you have: MBA or Master\'s degree in Technology. 15 years of relevant industry experience, with first-hand technical leadership and people management experience. Experience developing requests for proposals (RFPs), scheduling projects, cost engineering, budgeting and forecasting costs, reporting project status and costs, procurement and consulting with contractors and vendors. Knowledge of inside (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) fiber optic network and point to point wireless infrastructure, and engineering design and construction. Knowledge of network drawings, route maps and scopes of work, interpreting fiber test results and auditing projects for compliance with scopes of work. The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $185,400 - $203,900+ bonus + cash award + benefits.
