Job description

Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Webb City, MO
Salary: $120,860 to $125,000 depending on relevant experience (depending on relevant experience)
Schedule: Onsite
Support Sites: Webb City, MO, Knox, IN, Dalton, GA, Coal Township, PA, and San Bernardino, CA

Focus: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of automated systems for machinery and industrial processes.
Electrical Engineer Essential Job Functions:
  • Design electrical control systems for industrial automation equipment (480V and below).
  • Evaluate and propose alternative components and automation strategies to enhance efficiency, product quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Perform programming (new and modifications) of control devices, including Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Servos, and Vision Cameras.
  • Develop electrical specifications for new equipment and ensure compliance by working closely with vendors throughout the quotation, design, and build phases.
  • Support maintenance team members with electrical troubleshooting and train personnel on new controls.
  • Develop, manage, and support capital projects, including conducting Root Cause Analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Electrical Engineer Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree* in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum five years of experience designing electrical control systems and programming PLCs in industrial automation.
  • Experience in programming and implementation of motor drives, HMIs, Servos, Machine Vision, and industrial networking preferred.
  • Programming experience with Omron and/or Allen-Bradley PLCs preferred.
  • Working knowledge of machine safety and guarding, such as NEC and NFPA 70E/79, preferred.
  • Provide engineering support to five White Flyer sites.
  • Must possess excellent analytical, creative, communication (verbal and written), organizational, presentation, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workload, shift demands, work independently, and willingness to be collaborative and support team efforts.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be available and willing to travel approximately 30%.

Location-Specific Requirements:
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
