Job Description

The Director, Global Security & Intelligence serves as the enterprise security leader responsible for the strategic vision, governance, and global execution of the organization's security, protective intelligence, and crisis-response programs.
This role leads all facets of global corporate security, including protective intelligence, executive protection, physical security, investigations, crisis management, and business continuity. The Director advises Executives, and Crisis Management Committees on emerging threats, executive risk exposure, and the evolving security landscape within a highly regulated insurance and financial-services environment.

Key Focus Areas

  • Threat exposure related to catastrophe claims, denied coverage, litigation, and underwriting decisions

  • Executive and employee safety during site visits following natural disasters or major loss events

  • Intelligence monitoring related to activism, public pressure, rate increases, and climate-driven underwriting changes

  • Coordination with business areas, cyber, legal, risk, HR, and catastrophe teams during high-tension incidents

Core Responsibilities

Enterprise Security Strategy & Governance

Serve as the enterprise security executive accountable for global security strategy, governance, and operating models.

Protective Intelligence & Strategic Threat Analysis

Own and lead the protective intelligence program, integrating intelligence across GSOC, executive protection, investigations, and crisis response.

Executive Protection & High-Visibility Risk

Design and oversee executive protection programs including travel, events, and crisis support.

Crisis Management & Incident Command

Serve as executive incident commander for security-related crises and enterprise-threatening events.

Global Security Operations

Oversee physical security operations, investigations, and GSOC functions across global facilities.

External Partnerships & Technology

Manage law enforcement relationships, security vendors, and deploy advanced AI-enabled security technologies.

Board & Executive Advisory

Provide regular briefings to the Board and Executive Leadership on threat posture and crisis readiness.

Team Leadership & Culture

Lead and develop global security and intelligence teams, fostering professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications

Required

  • 10-15+ years of progressive leadership in global corporate security, intelligence, or executive protection

  • Expertise in threat assessment, crisis management, and executive protection

Preferred

  • Prior service as security Director, or equivalent enterprise security leader

  • Experience managing multiple global security functions

  • Experience in highly regulated financial or insurance environments

  • CPP, CSMP, or equivalent certifications

Success in the Role (First 18-24 Months)

  • Unified intelligence-driven global security model established

  • Executive and board confidence in executive protection and crisis readiness

  • Reduction in unanticipated executive security incidents

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is 170,000.00 - 245,000.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
