Job description

Employment Conditions

Main office: Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Candidates must reside in Puerto Rico at the start of employment. Relocation is not offered.

Work arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, scheduled by the manager.

Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, and develop real‑time embedded navigation and timing solutions for military ground, airborne, and maritime applications.
  • Support all phases of the software engineering life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, verification, and documentation.
  • Lead a software team culture that emphasizes growth in technical skills and process improvement.
  • Develop, verify, and validate software products to meet customer needs and quality standards, participating in Agile team ceremonies.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain, enhance, and develop software that aligns with customer requirements and meets certification standards, ensuring functionality and compliance.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens may access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Embedded software development, embedded hardware, and real‑time hardware systems experience.
  • User interface (UI), front‑end and back‑end, API development for applications and embedded systems.
  • Experience with QML (plus).
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Ada, or other high‑order languages in an embedded application environment and hardware‑centric products.
  • Prior experience in GPS and/or antenna electronics development, Python test scripting, test planning and unit testing, code review, or performance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Docker, Artifactory, GitLab pipelines and related tools.
  • Knowledge of configuration management systems (SVN, Git, GitLab, GitHub).
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
  • Hardware/software integration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Tools such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, Jira, and requirements management software (DOORS, Jama).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
