Job description

We're partnering with a school network in Providence County, Rhode Island to hire dedicated General Education Teachers (Math) for the 2026-2027 school year.

This full-time, onsite opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact supporting students through engaging instruction, strong classroom culture, and data-driven planning. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality math instruction while collaborating with school-based teams to support student growth and achievement.

Position Details:

  • Location: Onsite in Providence County, RI
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
  • Weekly Hours: 35 hours per week
  • School Year: 2026-2027
  • Openings: 5
  • Grade Levels / Assignments (Math):
    • Secondary Grades Mathematics Teacher (6-12)
    • Middle Grades Mathematics Teacher (5-8) (multiple openings)
    • Grade 5 Math (Middle Grades Mathematics 5-8)

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned math instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners.
  • Create a structured, inclusive classroom environment that supports academic success and positive student behavior.
  • Differentiate instruction using a variety of strategies (small group instruction, scaffolds, enrichment, and intervention).
  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation (lesson plans, grades, progress notes, and required school documentation).
  • Collaborate with grade-level/content teams, special education staff, and student support teams to implement accommodations and supports.
  • Communicate consistently and professionally with families regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and other campus-based responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Appropriate Rhode Island teaching certification/licensure for the assignment (Middle Grades Math and/or Secondary Math, as applicable).
  • School-based teaching experience preferred (middle school and/or high school math).
  • Strong classroom management, instructional planning, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to serving students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive setting.
