Job description

We are seeking a Plant Operator responsible for monitoring and operating plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable processing of natural gas and associated products. This role focuses on maintaining optimal plant performance while ensuring product quality meets required specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cryogenic processing systems and midstream plant equipment, along with a strong understanding of safety and operational procedures.


  • Monitor plant operations and processes to ensure safe, efficient production and product quality.

  • Operate and monitor cryogenic processing equipment, stabilizer systems, amine units, and glycol treatment systems.

  • Review plant performance data and collect operational readings to maintain optimal plant conditions.

  • Operate and monitor mechanical equipment including natural gas compressors, pumps, and associated control systems.

  • Work with electrical and pneumatic control systems to maintain proper equipment operation.

  • Perform routine plant inspections and identify any operational or mechanical issues.

  • Conduct routine equipment startups and shutdowns as required.

  • Execute emergency procedures and respond to operational upsets when necessary.

  • Load and unload product trucks safely and in accordance with plant procedures.

  • Support and participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) activities and compliance requirements.

  • Maintain accurate logs and operational records.

  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements


  • Experience operating midstream or gas processing plant equipment preferred.

  • Knowledge of cryogenic plants, stabilizers, amine systems, and glycol treatment systems strongly preferred.

  • Experience working with compressors, pumps, electrical controls, and pneumatic systems.

  • Understanding of plant operations, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols.

  • Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and compliance activities preferred.

  • Ability to collect and interpret plant operational data and equipment readings.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work a 7/7 rotating schedule (days and nights).

  • Ability to work safely in an industrial plant environment.

  • Must wear required PPE including steel-toe boots and fire-retardant (FR) clothing.

  • Hard hat and safety glasses are required while in the plant (provided if needed).

  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, MVR, fit for duty and agility.
