Salary Range: $58,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Hart that are seeking skilled CNC Mill Programmers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis mills.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine parameters.
  • Optimize programs for efficiency, cycle time reduction, and surface finish.
  • Perform tool path verification and collision detection using simulation software.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to troubleshoot and improve processes.
  • Create and maintain detailed setup sheets and tooling lists.
  • Analyze engineering drawings and CAD models to determine machining strategies.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficient in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM) for 3-axis and multi-axis milling.
  • Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming for CNC mills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
  • Practical experience with various cutting tools, materials, and machining strategies.
  • Knowledge of machine setup, fixturing, and in-process inspection techniques.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software beyond basic part modeling (e.g., advanced surfacing, simulation).
  • Familiarity with robotic automation for material handling or secondary operations.
  • Strong understanding of metrology and experience with CMM programming or portable measuring arms.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize post-processors for various machine controls.
  • Knowledge of G-code and M-code editing for on-the-fly program adjustments.
