Job description

Responsibilities
The Controls Engineer will be reportable to the Sr. Maintenance Manager and have responsibilities for the following tasks:
Duties:
  • Support the facility in day-to-day technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for Foxboro DCS, associated interfaces, and various PLC applications in a continuous manufacturing process environment.
  • Provide automation Support for Manufacturing Process using Allen Bradley PLC's and Foxboro DCS Systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements and business needs.
  • Provide technical support and recommendations in assessing new requirements for projects and initiatives to support and enhance existing systems.
  • Manage projects - defining scope, stakeholder analysis, objectives, timeline, testing phase, implementation and evaluation.
  • Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.
  • Drive successful results through continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop and provide training to end users.
  • Travel - Domestic up to 10% as needed.

Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field .
    Applicant must have demonstrative experience with:
    Industrial Controls field,
    PLC and HMI Programming
    DCS in a continuous process environment,
    Industrial control networks including HART, OPC, Remote I/O, and Ethernet/IP
    Configuration and commissioning of VFDs,
    Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Database and Teams
    ** Experience and/or knowledge can be obtained concurrently as part of educational curriculum **
