Description

E&E Foods, Inc. is recruiting for five (5) temporary, seasonal, full time workers as Salmon Roe Technician to work on-shore at Yakutat processing plant located in Yakutat, SE Alaska nonmetropolitan area, from 07/18/2026  to 10/15/2026.  Duties include processing and packaging, and inspecting of Ikura and Sujiko salmon roe products for export to the Japanese market. Specifically, their duties include sorting, agitating or soaking into brine solution or soy seasoning, grading according to quality and appearance, dewatering, and packing for attractive presentation. Additional responsibilities include controlling usage of food additives based on the conditions of roe, testing of final product of Ikura and Sujiko for nitrite content, and maintaining sanitation conditions of roe acceptable to Japanese regulations.


Must have 24 months experience working in salmon roe processing, experience must include knowledge of processing and grading of salmon roe products for the Japanese market. No on-the-job training. Employer will provide workers, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Depending on fish availability, must be willing to work under flexible schedule. 

Requirements

Work hours 


Full time (at least 35 hrs/week)   Monday-Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with up to 40 hrs of overtime/week. Work on   Saturday, Sunday, or both may be required. Overtime and weekend hours depend upon fish availability. 

Wage Offered


No less than $25.05 per   hour and overtime hours will be paid at $37.58/hr (+50%).

Wage Payment


- The   employer will use a single workweek as its standard for 

computing wages   rule;

- U.S. and   H-2B workers will be paid at least every two weeks

or according to the   prevailing practice in the area of 

employment, whichever is   more frequent.  U.S. and foreign   workers will be paid by check or by direct bank deposit

- The  employer   will make all deductions from the workers 

paychecks as required by the state and federal tax   laws and all other deductions required by the law.

Work will be performed at a worksite in the Southeast

nonmetropolitan Alaska area at the following   processing plant:

Transportation


Round trip transportation from   worker's home residence to worksites 

and between worksites is provided at no cost to the employees. 

Travels include air travels. The employer will arrange and pay 

directly for transportation and subsistence contingent upon 

completion of the contract and/or if workers complete 50 percent   of 

the work contract period. Return transportation/daily subsistence is   

provided if the worker completes the employment period or is 

dismissed for any reason before the employment period. 

Three-Fourths

Guarantee


The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at   least 

three fourths of the workdays in each 6-week   period of the total 

employment period. 

Room and Board 


The employer will provide room   and board, which is optional, at no cost to the employees during the period   of employment. 

Daily subsistence will be   provided of at least $16.78 to 68.00 per day directly or per receipts while   traveling.

First Week Reimbursement


All visa, border crossing and other related fees will be   paid directly  

at no expense to the workers (except passport fees).
