Fire Sprinkler Inspector – Protect Lives and Property with an Industry Leader


Job Overview:

  • Company: Williams Fire Sprinkler Company (WFSC).
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour (Based on experience).
  • Location: Williamston, NC.
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
  • Schedule: Day Shift (Some On-Call & Overtime required).
  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: NC State Inspector License or NICET Level II in Water-Based Systems; Valid Driver’s License.


The Opportunity: As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you serve as a frontline defender of life and property by ensuring critical fire suppression systems function perfectly. This role offers the stability of a family-oriented company that has led the industry since 1972 while providing clear paths for professional certification and career growth.


How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Examine and test complex fire sprinkler systems in strict accordance with NFPA codes to ensure total site safety.
  • Document detailed inspection reports and identify system deficiencies using digital tablet-based reporting tools.
  • Execute routine maintenance and specialized service work to resolve technical issues for commercial and residential clients.
  • Organize and maintain dedicated truck inventory to ensure rapid response times and field efficiency.
  • Consult with customers to explain technical findings and provide clear recommendations for system improvements.
  • Collaborate with the service team to uphold WFSC’s long-standing reputation for quality and technical excellence.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2–5 years of direct experience within the fire protection industry.
  • Active NC State Inspector License or NICET Level II certification in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems.
  • Proven ability to operate professional tools, ladders, and aerial lifts safely in various field environments.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record suitable for operating company vehicles.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Advanced proficiency in navigating various NFPA codes and local fire ordinances.
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing service role requiring high levels of communication and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated history of maintaining high-quality documentation and digital reporting accuracy.
