Bruker Nano, one of Bruker's four operating segments, provides customers in academic and governmental institutions, life science, materials, and applied industries with the tools to determine the characteristics of matter and visualize the structure of molecules. Divisions within BNANO include Bruker AXS, Bruker Nano Analytics, Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology (BNSM), Fluorescence Microscopy, and Canopy.

The BNSM division is currently searching for a Material Handler and Logistics Coordinator for our location in Eden Prairie, MN (home to our Hysitron Nanoindentation product line) to help us enable scientists to make breakthrough discoveries and develop new applications that improve the quality of human life!

This is a temporary contract position for 6-12 months. 

Responsibilities

Ability to unload and process in-bound orders for receipt in SAP. Inspects inbound shipments for damage or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel. Analyze, process and prepare orders in SAP for delivery to both Domestic and International destinations. Ability to review, and pack orders for shipment. Working knowledge and ability to use Windows operating system and Microsoft Office-based programs, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook. Ability to process orders for shipment in standard courier system software i.e. FedEx, UPS Ability to monitor, and order shipping supplies Essential cross functional team work skills, to be able to communicate regularly with other departments requiring shipping assistance. Excellent clerical, data entry skills to maintain integrity of inventory accuracy in database, file records and perform routine audits. Effective verbal and written communication skills Time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment. Working knowledge of manufacturing and inventory control methodologies Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental standards. Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work standing, sitting and walking for the majority of a scheduled shift. Must be able to push cart holding up to 50 lbs. occasionally. May be asked to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Job requires frequent reaching, bending, stooping and kneeling. Job requires frequent handwriting onto inventory cards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Experience with SAP Sales and Distribution and Material Movement modules is preferred. Knowledge of Export compliance regulations preferred. Experience with and understanding of warehouse operations, and is capable of applying knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Ability to perform tasks requiring analysis and judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Ability to follow daily standard work instructions, with minimal supervision, and general instructions on newly introduced assignments.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 3 year related Shipping/Receiving and Warehouse experience required. 5 years of experience is preferred. Experience in fast paced, technical, manufacturing environment required. Education: Minimum High School graduate. Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
