Overview
 
Tanlink Corporation is seeking a hands-on and experienced Automotive Support Technician with real-world automotive aftermarket accessory experience. The ideal candidate is an automotive enthusiast that likes to install automotive products, upgrade vehicles and perform their own repairs. The primary focus of this role will be assisting in the research, development, testing, and improvement of aftermarket products including dash cameras, truck steps, auxiliary lighting, truck bed covers and more.
Tanlink Corporation is an innovator of aftermarket vehicle electronics including dash cameras, portable jump starters and truck accessories with the core brands Wolfbox and RedTiger.
Responsibilities

·        Assist in the research, development, testing, and improvement of aftermarket automotive accessories and 12-volt electronics products.
·        Perform product testing, troubleshooting, and validation to ensure quality, performance, and ease of installation.
·        Interface with dealers for technical questions and troubleshooting related to all product categories of the brands.
·        Assist the marketing team in developing installation procedures, fitment recommendations, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation.
·        Review technical content written by peers and suppliers to ensure accuracy and industry relevance.
·        Own the vehicle specification database related to all product categories of the brands.
·        Perform installations and field testing to validate fitment, operation and identify improvement.
·        Collaborate closely with engineering, product development, and marketing teams to improve products based on installer and customer feedback.
·        Procure evaluation test vehicles on a temporary basis.
·        Perform 3D scanning and utilize software to document vehicle structure for engineering team.
·        Support trade shows and sales events with set up, vehicles, displays and booth tours
·        Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
 
Qualifications

Have some knowledge of vehicle structures, electrical systems, CAN bus and have a personal passion for automobiles.
Mechanically inclined and tool enthusiast
Learn and use 3D scanning tools and software to document vehicle structure for China manufacturing team
Possesses automotive accessory installation and light fabrication capabilities
Confident experience in Windows, PPT, Word
Good written communications skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Able to actively work on several projects/planning at the same time
Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities.
Conversational English communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
15% travel required
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Compensation: $62k to $70k
