RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business/Data Analyst in Phoenix, AZ.
Summary:
This Business/Data Analyst role supports a transition from a managed-services model to an internally driven analytics function. The Analyst will partner with stakeholders to uncover insights, improve reporting, and deliver measurable business value. Curiosity, initiative, and the ability to connect technical data work to real business outcomes are essential.
Key Duties:
* Analyze data from multiple systems and document how fields flow into reports
* Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards that improve visibility and decision-making
* Investigate SQL Server databases to understand table relationships, schemas, and source data
* Work with legacy systems and limited institutional knowledge to map data lineage
* Partner with business users to clarify reporting needs and identify opportunities for improvement
* Evaluate existing reports, recommend enhancements, and create new solutions that deliver value
* Help field teams use data more effectively, focusing on outcomes rather than raw extracts
* Support data governance, quality initiatives, and cross-functional strategic projects

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Mathematics, or related field
* 2+ years of experience in business or data analysis
* Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server Management Studio
* Understanding of database structures, including table relationships, star schemas, fact/dimension tables
* Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI
* Proficiency with Excel and modern visualization tools
* Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, SQL proficiency, and a mindset oriented toward business outcomes; Technical ability matters, but curiosity, resilience, and value creation are the true differentiators
* Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
