Local Radius rule: 50 miles, 10% reduction to bill rate
Employee Separation Policy: Any past employee of UPH whether FTE, or PRN for the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another Market no matter which facility they currently work at, or have worked at within the past 12 months. If they worked travel at UPH (not FTE or PRN), the separation policy does not apply
HOLIDAY update: unless the Unit is closed, your contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)

  • NBO: 16 hrs
  • EMR: EPIC
  • OT/Holiday: 1.15x multiplier
  • Call Back: 1.5x multiplier with 2 hr CB minimum
  • On Call: ***/hr
  • Charge/Precept: ***/hr
Billable OT:
  • 36-40 hrs/week, OT billable after 40
  • 48 hrs/week, OT billable after 48
UNIT INFORMATION:
  • # of Beds: 6
  • Equipment: Lucas device, Spacelabs cardiac monitors, airvo, hamilton vent
  • Patient types: all ages
  • Drips/Titrates: TNK, Cardiac drips, RSI, insulin, heparin, propofol on occasion when performing moderate sedation

  • 24 months of Emergency experience [required]
  • must have completed a travel contract within previous 15 months [required]
  • MUST be comfortable being the only RN on shift from 2300 - 0700 working alongside ED provider and ED clerk/tech (med surg RNs are available for additional support)
  • EPIC emr experience [required]
  • CPI, MOAB, MAB, SAMA accepted-- highly suggested to have active and in-hand, however, Client is willing to offer non-certified clinicians AS LONG as they obtain during onboarding [highly preferred]
  • ACTIVE PALS & TNCC certificates [required] [document]
  • Drip/Titrate experience: TNK (tenecteplase), cardiac drips, insulin, heparin - [required]
  • RSI (rapid sequence intubation) experience [required]
  • tele measure/read experience [required] ---- (preferably using Spacelabs cardiac monitors)
  • Lucas device experience [highly preferred]
  • Airvo & hamilton vent equipment experience [highly preferred]
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work history/resume/employment history must have 24 months of current ED/ER/Emergency Room/Emergency Department experience [required]
  • Skills Checklist must be specific to the discipline listed on the job (Emergency Room) - [required]
  • Nursys must state Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate at time of submission - [required] [document]
  • Professional Reference/Reference Check - charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation/reference from within 24 months of today's date [preferred]
  • Driver's License [document] [required]
  • AHA/Active American Heart Association or ARC/client BLS - basic life support - [required]
  • AHA/Active American Heart Association ACLS - advanced cardiac life support - [required]
  • AHA/Active American Heart Association PALS - pediatric advanced life support - [required] [document]
  • NIH Stroke Scale - [required] -- can be obtained during onboarding
  • TNCC / trauma nursing core competency certificate - [required] [document]
  • Acceptable de-escalation certificates: CPI, MAB, MOAB, SAMA [preferred]
